Research has shown that our customers want to see an improvement in the quality of bathing waters.

One of our eight priority areas is improving our relationship with customers and we want to work in partnership with them and local communities to tackle this issue.

It means we making it easy for customers to play their part and for us to be responsive when they do. 

We are committed to increasing public awareness, engagement and action on bathing waters through a participatory approach. Within schools and residential, visitor and business communities, we are promoting behaviour change. 

This performance commitment goes above and beyond our statutory duty to manage and improve our assets to comply with the Bathing Water Directive. 

Our aim is to target a greater number of beaches/bathing waters in 2022 to achieve the cumulative target by the end of the year.
