North Bristol sewer scheme – Trym catchment
We are committed to delivering projects that improve service, mitigate risk and benefit the environment.
This includes a project in north Bristol which will:
- increase foul sewerage capacity in the area
- reduce sewer flooding in Blaise Castle
- minimise the risk of pollution in Frome and Trym river valleys

reduce spill frequency at combined sewer overflows (CSOs).
The first phase of the project will be delivered in 2019 and the second by 2023. The project is on track and the contract for the detailed design and construction has been awarded.
